Thanks for taking the time to visit this memorial site.
This has been set up in memory of my mum who fought breast cancer and its return for nearly 2 decades.
Throughout she was a loving and caring mother, with a commitment to continuing her teaching at a special needs school and with a determination to never give up or let cancer affect her life.
Mum was diagnosed a second time around in 2005 where the life plan to move to France was already underway.
After various treatments, battling against metastic breast cancers building up in the throat nodules, liver and later on in the brain, whilst also surviving a life-threatening blood supply blockage to the kidneys, mum eventually could fight no more.
My mum was my real-life hero and gives us inspiration to tackle anything in our paths.
Goodbye mum, you were the strongest and most courageous person I have ever known! Now you'll finally have no pain or problems.

I’d also like to give massive thanks to Will for looking after her for all these years and wish I could repay somehow.

If you would like to donate something to help other cancer sufferers receive care, we have set up a JustGiving page for this, so that hopefully others will receive such great care as mum did. http://www.justgiving.com/Christine-Smith-Herkes
